Maryland Sunroom Builders
Three-season, four-season, and screen rooms designed, permitted, and built by our own crews. Authorized Sunspace dealer. MHIC #91686.
Local Sunroom Builders
Howard County is really three different places to build a sunroom. Columbia's planned villages come with architectural review. Ellicott City brings hillsides and older homes. Western Howard around Clarksville, Glenelg, and Highland means acreage, custom homes, and open exposure. We design and build three-season rooms, insulated four-season rooms, screen rooms, and porch enclosures across all three with our own crews. As an authorized Sunspace dealer that also handles the structure and the roof tie-in, we keep the whole room under one company.
In Columbia, the Columbia Association architectural committee reviews most visible exterior changes, and a sunroom is about as visible as it gets, so we prepare that submission during design. In Ellicott City, slope decides what can support a room, and many projects need engineered footings and stepped framing before the enclosure is even discussed. In the rural west, large lots leave room to size the space properly, while open sites gain and lose heat quickly, which makes orientation and the choice between a three-season and four-season room especially important. We sort through all of that on the first call and the site visit.

Permits and Inspections
Howard County permits go through the Department of Inspections, Licenses and Permits, and structures attached to a home need a building permit. In Columbia we file for Columbia Association architectural review alongside the county permit. Howard County is landlocked, so there is no Chesapeake Critical Area review here, though Ellicott City's historic Main Street area carries preservation review.
It helps to know who does what. A sunroom dealer sells the enclosure. A sunroom installer assembles it. We are the contractor, which means we are responsible for the footing, the structure, the roof tie-in, the permits, the electrical, and the enclosure itself.
Our own crews build the whole room, so one company answers for every part of it, from the first conversation to the final inspection.
How It Works
Tell us about your house and how you want to use the room. You get a price bracket on the first call, so you know where the project lands before anyone visits.
We look at what the room will sit on and how it ties into your house, and we bring samples and colors so you can see the options in person.
You get a written proposal with the final number, to the penny, so there are no surprises when the work starts.
